Axes can already be enchanted with Sharpness, Smite, and Bane of Arthropods, and are sold by Weapon Smiths, so they are obviously intended to be used as weapons. However, they cannot be enchanted with Looting, Fire Aspect, or Knockback.
Unfortunately you cannot put Fire Aspect on an axe. I think this is a missed opportunity. Not only could it cook the flesh of my bovine captives, but it could turn wood and wood related products into charcoal.
You can add the Fire Aspect enchantment to any sword using an enchanting table, anvil, or game command. Then use the enchanted sword to fight and see your enemies light on fire!! The maximum level for the Fire Aspect enchantment is Level 2.
You can have up to 16.2% chance to get Fire Aspect II for a level 30 enchantment, while you have up to 12.3% chance to get Fire Aspect I for a level 21 enchantment.
A sword enchanted with Fire Aspect III can set an entity on blue soul fire. This can be used in 1.16 or later updates. Soul Fire deals a bit higher damage than normal fire, and also, it looks cool. This enchanted may also be further restricted to the Nether dimension or on Nether mobs.
Is fire Aspect worth it?
